ATLANTA - Rock and Roll legends "The Eagles" with play a concert in Piedmont Park this fall, the band said on its official website Thursday.

The concert is presumably this year's "Green Concert", an annual event hosted by the Piedmont Park Conservancy and organized by Live Nation.

Wednesday, the Conservancy announced that it would make a "big" announcement about the annual Green Concert Thursday, but remained quiet on the details.

The Eagles have only schedule three performances in the United States between now and the end of the year.  The band will also perform in Austin, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky.  They have also scheduled several concerts in Australia.

Past performers of the Green Concert at Piedmont Park include Paul McCartney and the Dave Matthews Band.
