11. The Real Bigfoot? (1,997 plays)


Two Georgia men attempted to prove that Bigfoot really existed, and that they found him in the North Georgia woods. It turned out that they were perpetrating an elaborate hoax, but this story was filed before that information was released.


 




 


10. Grant Park Couple Posts Break-In on Web (2,195 plays)


A couple in Grant Park who had their house broken into posted surveillance video of the incident on YouTube in hopes that someone would be able to identify the perpetrators.


 




 


9. Six Flags Death (2,459 plays)


A young man was killed when he jumped a fence to get to the Batman ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. He had entered an unsafe area and was hit by the cars of the roller coaster.


 




 


8. Eating Well and Feeling Good About It (3,172 plays)


During the gas crisis last summer, community-supported agriculture saw a boom when people grew concerned about how much gas was used to transport food around the country. For about $25 per week, members receive fresh produce from local farms.


 




 


7. Terracotta Warriors Exhibit Nearly Ready to Open (3,662 plays)


The Terracotta Warriors came to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Discovered in 1974, each 400-pound warrior was buried in China for 2,000 years. The show previously appeared at the British Museum, and 80,000 advance tickets were purchased in Atlanta.

A south Georgia teenager was charged with child cruelty after a video posted online showed him using an inflatable pillow to launch a baby through the air.


 




 


5. Emerson's Friends to Give Hikers Panic Buttons (4,958 plays)


Meredith Emerson was abducted and killed while hiking in North Georgia. Now, her friends have founded an organization called "Right to Hike", which gives hikers a mobile alarm system in case they get in trouble while out on the trail.


 




 


4. Fatal Car Wreck (5,668 plays)


One teenager was killed and four others were hurt after a serious car accident in DeKalb County. According to reports, the driver was 14 years old, and all the passengers were 12, 13, or 14.


 




 


3. Video Shows Burglar Throwing Cat Into the Air (9,673 plays)


A burglary at the Georgia Forestry Commission in Henry County ended with the suspect throwing a cat into the air. The cat escaped unharmed; the burglar remained at large. This video received more than 9,000 plays in its first week on the site.


 




 


2. Mom Fears More Crocs Accidents (10,821 plays)


After a young boy got his foot stuck in an escalator at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, questions were raised about the type of shoes the boy was wearing: the plastic sandals made famous under the name "Crocs".

When gas prices shot up over the summer, many who fought high prices did so by buying scooters, which can get up to 100 miles per gallon.
