CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A Barnesville woman is in a Clayton County jail this morning after leaving her infant twins in a car while she went shopping.

Despite the continuing heat wave a set of 4-month-old twins was found at about 10 p.m. Saturday, locked in a car.

Jenesia Williams, 26, was arrested for leaving her children in the car. She's charged with two counts of cruelty to children.

Clayton County Police say Williams left the infant twins in her car at a Wal-Mart shopping center on Anvil Block Road while she went shopping. The babies were discovered by another shopper passing by.

Apparently the mother left the car windows cracked and police were able to open the doors to get to the babies.

Police say the infants were left in the car for fifteen or thirty minutes. The twins were taken to Southern Regional Hospital to be checked out. Police say they appear to be unharmed.
