PAULDING CO. - Due to flooding authorities in Paulding County have closed Williams Lake Rd near Laird Rd.


The area will be closed to traffic for the next several hours.


The Paulding County Sheriff's Office advises you to AVOID Williams Lake Rd at Laird Rd.


Motorists can use the follwing roads to avoid this area:



  • Hiram Douglasville Hwy.
  • Bethel Church Rd.
  • Ridge Rd

Other roads are closed in Paulding County due to flooding.



  • Hwy. 278 between Hwy. 92 and Cleburn Pkwy
  • Rich Davis Rd. at McClung Rd. in Hiram
  • Morningside Dr. off Hwy. 92
  • Mein Mitchell Rd. at Lambeth Dr., Douglasville
  • Greenfield Rd. off Hwy. 278,
  • Rakestraw Rd. at McGarity Elem. School, Dallas
  • Holland Rd. between Mt. Tabor Church Rd. & Hwy. 92

  • Hwy 92 between Macland Rd and Hwy 120    


Areas in North Georgia remain under a flash flood watch until Monday afternoon. Some areas could possibly receive as much as four inches of rain.


Downed trees also a possibility due to saturated soil.
