DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga -- Emergency responders are warning drivers to use caution on roads across Douglas County. They say travel throughout the county is dangerous and many roads are flooded and impassable.
Most of the storm effect and damage is in the western part of the County.
Here is a list of roads closed in Douglas County as of 1:40a.m.:
Interstate 20 Westbound between Post Road (Exit 30) and Liberty Road is closed. HERO units are responding to an emergency call there involving drivers.
Ephesus Church Road is closed due to a mud slide.
Bankhead Highway (US 78) between Timmons Circle and Liberty Road is closed.
Post Road immediately south of Interstate 20 is closed,
Cedar Mountain Road is closed.
The bridge at Post Road and Tyree Road may be out.
Pool Road is closed.
Lambert Road is closed.
At Banks Mill Road over Dog River, officials say the = bridge may be out.
Prestley Mill Road at Slater Mill Road may have washed out.
Remember if there is water on a road, do not drive through it. You may not realize how deep the water is and can be swept away.
