ATLANTA -- Early Monday morning, Atlanta police found the body of a newborn infant inside a dumpster at a Buckhead apartment complex.
Police were dispatched to the complex on Morosgo Drive after the parents showed up at an area hospital seeking medical attention.
After questioning the parents, doctors determined the mother left the baby at the complex and alerted police.
Police say it's too soon to tell if the baby was stillborn or died after being left in the dumpster.
An autopsy by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office is pending.
