Clouds have moved back into the area. We will begin the day with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures start very mild in the upper 60s.
There will be a few breaks in the clouds early afternoon. The sunshine will help to heat us up to the low to mid 80s.
Isolated showers with a few embedded thunderstorms will be likely. Right now it's a 30% chance, so some of us will not see the rain.
If you do not see any rain today, chances are you will this weekend. The weather will remain unsettled both Saturday and Sunday. Expect scattered showers and storms for Saturday with heavy rainfall possible at times, but we are not expecting a washout.
Sunday and Monday bring a slight drop in rain chances with just isolated showers and storms possible as lows sit in the mid 60s and highs rise into the mid 80s under a partly cloudy sky.
Tuesday through Thursday will bring the hottest temperatures of the year so far with lows in the 60s and highs in the upper 80s as we dive into a summertime pattern that will also include a slight chance for rain each day under a partly cloudy sky.
Expect anywhere from half an inch to an inch of rain to occur over the next week with the higher totals expected in far north Georgia.
